The local breeding
area of this cattle is Kerman province (in the old city of Bam).
It is a uni colour breed in: black, brown, white and multi cououred:
pied. The main use is for food (Meat).
Both males and females have 2 horns. Its specific visible trait
is Zebu. |

area of this cattle is South-Eastern Baluchestan province and
Iranshahr. It is a uni colour breed: yellow to brown, occasionally
black . The main use is for food (Meat).
Both males and females have 2 horns. Its specific visible trait
is Zebu. |

Is a domestic breed of cattle that originated
in Iran. Main location of breed is in Esfahan. They are black
or red. The main use is for food (Milk and Meat). Both males
and females have 2 horns.

Another local name of this
breed is: "Karadi". The origin of this cattle is
the Brachyceros type. This breed can be found in Kurdestan
areas of Iran. It is a uni colour breed in: black (often with
light markings). The main use is for
food (Meat). Adult males weight 300 and females 220 kg. Average
wither height of an Adult female is about 106 cm. Both males
and females have 2 horns (The Kurdi is humpless with small
horns or polled). According to a Risk status report from 1997,
Kurdi breed is endangered species.

MAZANDARANI CATTLE:

Another native breed
of Iran. It is from the north province of Mazandaran and is called
az Gilani too. It comes in various colours. The
main use is for food (Milk and Meat). Both males and females have
2 horns. Its specific visible trait is Zebu. |

NEJDI CATTLE:

Another local name for this
breed is "ARABI" and can be found in Khuzestan province
in south-west of the country. It comes in all colours. The
main use is for food (Milk). Both males and females can be with
(2) or without horns. They are sometimes humped. The origin
of the breed is unknowned both it seems that it is a composite
of some breeds. |

SARABI CATTLE:

Sarabi Is a domestic breed of cattle that
originated in Iran. Main location of breed is in Eastern Azarbayjan
so it some times is called "ARDEBILI" by the local
people. It comes only in red color. The main use is for food
(Milk and Meat) and working az draft cattle. Both males and
females have 2 horns. It may have some Zebu blood.
